The Rocks Market

If there are no classes for today, probably it’s THE weekend for you ! And the fact that you are staying at home for your unfinished assignments is not wrong, but in every way UN-right !! The Rocks Market always has a place for you - where you take a stroll among numerous stalls selling stuff ranging from gadgets, art decor, drawings, handicrafts and interesting food for your taste buds.

The Rocks Market opens Every Saturday & Sunday from 10am till 5pm.

The Rocks Market

When you take your first step into the entrance of The Rocks Market, you will be amazed by the range of items being sold there. Not to mention the organized way of the items layout for sale, it’s showcasing their art and handicrafts by the owners more than trying to sell them. It’s hard not to realize the enthusiasm of the stall owners in sharing their artworks, affecting people with their Aussie culture. Tourists or passer-bys never felt compelled to buy things off the market, but they certainly do feel that they have learnt something/made a friend, when they walked through this sun-shaded market.

In here you'll find that almost every single thing is the perfect gift for your friend or relative. There are hand-made jewellery, handicraft books/household decor, spray-paintings, framed-pictures, fashion and beauty products, souvenirs and other indigenous crafts etc.

As you stroll through all these stalls, the difficulty starts to set on you in trying to decide on which items to bring it back. Or maybe you are already carrying bags of such items, waiting to show it off to your friends back home.

No matter which category you fall in, with all the 'eye-feasting' while walking, why not take a little break and have a little snack. Yes, you guess right! The bites offered in The Rocks Market is nothing but common. Say you're having a sweet tooth today, Lush Berries' chocolate coated strawberries/marshmallows are definitely going to bring a smile on you.

For the rest, Hot Corn will be the perfect 'brekkie' snack. You'll never miss this stall - with all the corns in boxes taking up every corner of the stall. Named 'Hot Corn on the Cob', you can decide whether you want a coat of butter with a dash of pepper, or just have it the way it is - PLAIN. Either way, it’s bound to raise your eyebrows in satisfaction on every bite, and I’m drooling at just the thought of it. Can't believe I just had one in the morning, and now I crave for one more. Arghh.

There are also bars and cafes located along The Rocks Market, where you can just sit at a corner watching the main stream of people taking their pick of what to buy at the market. Be it chatting with your friends over coffee or beer, it’s THE weekend, and there's no rush for things.

Chill... and relax.
